WINTEREV 22

Tuesday, December 13, 2022, 1:00pm

The WINTEREVs are a series of thematic meetings organized by the European Hard Materials Group (EuroHM) of the European Powder Metallurgy Association. The aim is to bring together experts on a specific topic to discuss technical issues in depth at a pre-competitive level. WINTEREV's objectives target technical issues through workshops that focus on an area of importance to both research and industry. At each meeting, research objectives are reviewed in light of industry requirements. Where appropriate, standardization activities will also be included in the review. Topics for discussion will be identified through questionnaires and other consultation processes.

The WINTEREV 22 meeting will focus primarily on advanced characterization techniques for hard materials, but will also address other important topics such as modeling, surface modification technologies, material properties under harsh conditions, etc. Our colleagues Donat Rudenskiy and Alexander Bezold will present advances in the modeling of residual stresses in hard metals.
